On October 17, 2023, of Cherry Hill, NJ.  Age 83 years.  Bob was the devoted husband of Kathyrn Fortenbaugh (Mahon).  Beloved father of Linda Herzog (Richard) of Collingswood, NJ and Bruce Fortenbaugh (Dermot McLaughlin) of Lisbon, Portugal.  He was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Alexander and Peter Herzog.  He was predeceased by his father Cleon Fortenbaugh, his mother Estelle Fortenbaugh, his sister Martha Kletzin and brother William Fortenbaugh.

Bob and Kathy raised their family in Millington, NJ before retiring to New Bern, NC. They spent years renovating an old house where Bob sharpened his handyman skills. Bob was a mortgage banker for most of his career and retired as Vice President of Cenlar Federal Savings in Trenton, NJ.  His happy place was being on the water, either on the beach or sailing a series of boats on the Barnegat Bay in NJ and North Carolina.  Sailing was his second love. Bob spent his retirement as an active member of the Fairfield Harbor Yacht Club and volunteering in several capacities in the New Bern community.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 10 AM to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ.  Remembrance Service will follow at 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations sent to your local American Cancer Society ( www.cancer.org ) or Alzheimer's Association ( www.alz.org ).
