On January 28, 2023, longtime resident of Collingswood, NJ. Age 73 years.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Carol (nee Magee). Devoted father to Michele (Joseph) Gurcsik, Stacey (Sean) Winton, Kristi (Nicholas) Cordero and Kevin (Shantell) Miller. Grampy to Kelly, Samantha, Matthew, Ryan, Lucas, Ella, Everly, Jahzir, Maliyah and two on the way. Son of the late Samuel and Dolores (nee Duble). Survived by siblings, Karen Peek (nee Miller) and David (Maurie). He is predeceased by his grandson, Elijah and brother, Robert.

Sam graduated from Collingswood High School, class of 1968. He was enlisted in the US Naval Reserves where he was honorably discharged in 1970.  His love for computers led him to start a career as an IT Specialist, eventually retiring after 18 years from The Vanguard Group.

Sam met the love of his life, Carol, after being set up on a blind date. They were married in 1970 and settled in Collingswood in 1978 where they raised their four children. He enjoyed going to concerts, listening to music and dancing. His passions were fishing, hunting, tending to his garden and spending time outdoors, especially his walks in Collingswood. He liked rooting for his favorite sports teams, the Eagles, Phillies and 76ers. He absolutely loved to make people laugh and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be forever loved and missed by everyone who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, February 3, 2023, 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108.  Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM.  Interment at Bethel Memorial Park, Pennsauken, NJ.
