On June 14, 2017, of Collingswood, NJ. Age 82 years.
Beloved husband of Maria Mead. Dear son of the late Capt. Sanford L. and Frances Mead, Sr.
Mr. Mead was a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Social Science. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served on the USS Grampus SS-523 with the rank of ensign 2. After serving in the Navy, he had a career working in the food and beverage industry. Mr. Mead was also a member of Tatem-Shields Post #17 American Legion, Collingswood, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday 9:45 to 10:30 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 or visit: samaritannj.org.
