On July 11, 2018, of Elm, NJ.  Age 87 years.

Beloved wife of 51 years to the late Rev. Richard T. Collings.  Dear mother of Bette (Anthony) Maressa.  Loving MomMom of J.R., Matthew and Caitlin.  Cherished lifelong friend of Bette deAngeli.  Predeceased by her brother, John (Mary) Basford of Avalon, NJ.

In midlife, following Dick's ordination to the ministry in 1980, Shirle joyfully served with him in the pastorate of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Woodbine, NJ and First Baptist Church in Gloucester City, NJ, until retirement in 2002.  She then became a member at Hope United Methodist Church in Voorhees, NJ and was active in the women's ministry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, July 25, 6 to 7 PM at the Hope United Methodist Church, 700 Cooper Rd., Voorhees, NJ 08043.  Memorial Service will follow at 7 PM.  Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 and/or the church at the above address.
