Obituary

(nee Dalbey) passed peacefully on October 1, 2021, of Collingswood, NJ.  Age 70 years.

Beloved wife of 45 years to John Conroy.  Dear mother of Christina (Randy) Van Osten, Danielle Conroy and the late Brian Conroy (Melanie).  Loving Memom to Matteo and Liam Van Osten and Coty Conroy.  She is also lovingly survived by her sister, Janet (Larry) Ross.  Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary Dalbey and brothers, Wayne and Robert Dalbey.

Shirley's life mission was to make this world a better place.  Her kind words, inclusive personality, and warm smile made all feel welcome in her presence.  Shirley loved her family, more than words could express.  She enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings, staying up late, a cup of tea accompanied by good conversation, and cheering on the Phillies.
Shirley was a Teacher in the Cherry Hill school district.  She was also a active volunteer at Urban Promise in Camden and St. Vincent Pallotti Church, St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Haddon Twp.
Most of her time was spent raising awareness for gun safety through Moms Demand Action and Cure 4 Camden.  She was called to action and did not disappoint.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday evening 6 to 8 PM and Thursday 9 to 10:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 11 AM at St Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ.  Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
