IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sussy M.
Harris
March 20, 1942 – February 19, 2025
(nee Wlodawsky) On February 19, 2025, longtime resident of Haddonfield, NJ. She was 82 years old.
Beloved wife of 25 years to the late James R. Harris. Sister of Winston Wlodawsky. Loving mother of Nicole Ruch (Christopher) of Jenkintown, PA and Denys Linnehan (Joseph) of Horsham, PA. Cherished grandmother of Madeline and Lila Ruch; Loren, Ella and James Linnehan.
Sussy was born and raised in Quito Ecuador and then moved to New York city to start a life in the United States. Not soon after, she was swept off her feet by the love of her life Jim, where they settled together in Haddonfield, NJ. Upon moving to Haddonfield, Sussy worked in the insurance industry for 25 years as an Executive Assistant to various executives at CIGNA/ACE Insurance.
Sussy loved to travel, especially back to Ecuador where she would enjoy the company of her brother Winston and her many childhood friends. Life was always great in Quito, though her favorite place in the world was Paris France, as she would often speak of the language, arts and wonderful food. Some of the many other cities and countries she cherished visiting were: New York City, Prague, Rome, Moscow, China and Spain. She also joined her daughter's families on trips to the Dominican Republic, St. Lucia, Cancun and the Jersey Shore.
When Sussy was not traveling, she spent the better part of her last 25+ years with her best friend Socrates "Scott" Pesirides. While Sussy was more interested staying indoors, nice hotels and fine dining, Scott was always the adventurous outdoors man. Though their interests varied, they both shared a common love of dancing. Every weekend they would spend nights out dancing until the early hours of the morning.
Sussy was a dedicated mother, a beloved grandmother, a cherished friend and a true sweetheart who will be forever missed.
