Peacefully with his family at his side on November 14, 2018 in Ocean City, NJ, formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ. Age 92 years.
Beloved husband of Elise L. DePaul (nee Axner). Dear father of Thomas (Joan) DePaul and Robert (Debi) DePaul. Loving grandfather of Thomas (Jen), Anthony (Tina), Dominick, Joseph and Nina and great grandfather of Amelia, Anthony, Dante, Leo, Mia and Roman. He is also lovingly survived by his sister, Geraldine Woolley.
Tom was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a shop steward for Garden State Race Track, Philadelphia Park and Liberty Bell Park and was an executive board member of Local #137 Sports Arena Employees. Tom was a well rounded athlete, competing in football, basketball and baseball and was inducted into the Collingswood High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005. He was also a member of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues. Tom overcame polio and other health issues to become successful and enjoy a quality life. His family would like to thank Irene DePaul, Sandra Reed, Cindy Lamb and the Holy Redeemer staff for the compassionate and loving care they provided.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday 10 to 11:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM. Interment in the Garden of Honor at Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
