Obituary
On December 21, 2009, of Marlton, NJ. Age 92 years.
Beloved daughter of the late Arthur E. (former mayor of Collingswood, NJ) and Gertrude Armitage, Sr. and sister of the late Arthur E. (A. Virginia) Armitage, Jr. Dear aunt of Stephen (Patricia) and Hillary (Donald). She is also survived by two great nephews, Graham and Jeffrey.
Ms. Armitage was a graduate of Collingswood High School and Gettysburg College, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She retired in 1979 after 40 years of service with Bell Telephone, Camden, NJ. Virginia was an active volunteer with B Thrifty II Shop in Medford, NJ for the West Jersey Hospital Auxiliary Board. She spent much time traveling the world, however she especially enjoyed her time spent with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Tuesday, December 29th, 11 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 832 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Inurnment private. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday 10 to 11 AM in the church parlor.
The family suggests contributions be made in her memory to the church. Arrangements by the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, Collingswood, NJ.
