Obituary
On January 10, 2007, of Collingswood, NJ. Age 85 years.
Beloved husband of Marguerite T. Motson (Nee-Tobin) and the late Jane E. Motson. Dear father of W. David (Joyce L.) Motson of Cherry Hill, NJ and Sudie Jane Burbage of Franklinville, NJ. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Abby, Eric, Kevin, Laura and Gregory.
Mr. Motson was a longtime resident of Collingswood and former owner of Walter Motson & Co., Camden, NJ. He was a graduate of the Univ. of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. A WWII and Korean Conflict U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Motson was a member of the Collingswood High School Hall of Fame, Merchantville Country Club and served as an official for South Jersey High School football.
He was also a member of Glory Lutheran Church, North Myrtle Beach, SC, where he volunteered for Helping Hand and Meals on Wheels. Mr. Motson was recognized in 1998 for his outstanding community service and awarded "Bright Light" by Santee Cooper and WPDE-TV.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Friday, Jan. 12th 11:00 AM at the Collingswood Manor, 460 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Inurnment private. Friends may call Fri. 10:30-11:00 AM.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to North Strand Helping Hand, 813 St. Charles Rd., North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582. Arrangements by the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, Collingswood, NJ.
