A true gentleman has left us. On August 3, 2018, Warren Menaquale passed. Born in Camden, NJ, on April 27, 1929 to Guido and Ethel Menaquale, he began his journey through this life.
Although he knew his future wife while attending Woodrow Wilson High School, it wasn't until a fortuitous Basketball game in 1949 that he approached Marian Middleton. That is when his real life took off. Married for 56 years, she was the force behind his existence. Together they raised two sons, Michael and Stephen. Warren's family was his world. Whether coaching sports, skiing, playing pinochle, golfing or just goofing off, he was always a wonderful dad and grandfather. Lifelong passions that continue in his prodigy are his love of crosswords, sodoku, trivia, reading and Manhattans.
Warren was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict, serving in Germany 1951-1953. Upon return, he went to work with his father at Spiral Machine Tool Co. Later he served as Vice President at Precision Automation Co. in Cherry Hill.
Warren was active in the VFW, Square Circle Sportsmen Club and most importantly, the Masons and Shriners.
He is lovingly survived by his sons, Michael (Mary) of Moorestown, NJ and Stephen (Sandra) of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren, Laura of Atlanta, GA, Stephen (Rosemary) of Burlingame, CA, Matthew (Tausha) of Stamford, CT, Andrew of Washington, D.C. and Sarah of Atlanta, GA; and one great grandson, Theo Warren of Burlingame, CA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, August 18, 9 to 11 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. A Time of Sharing and Remembrance will follow at 11 AM. Inurnment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Shriner's Hospital, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
