Foster-Warne Funeral Home

We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of William Mark Eichorn Sr. on February 4, 2026. To most, he was known as “Big Billy” or simply Bill, but to the children, he was Dad — the steady hand, the fixer of all things, and the man you could always count on.
Bill was a family man first, always showing his love not through words, but through what he did. If something was broken, he fixed it. If someone needed help, he was already on his way. Whether he was fishing at the crack of dawn, riding his motorcycle down an open road, or elbow-deep under the hood of an old car, Bill was happiest when he was working with his hands and doing what he loved.
He had a gift for figuring things out. There wasn’t a machine he couldn’t repair or a problem he couldn’t solve, a skill that carried him through a 40-year career servicing sheet metal equipment. People admired his knowledge, but those close to him admired his determination even more.
Bill never let anything slow him down — not a snowstorm, not a heat wave, and not even a tractor buried in the mud. In fact, telling Bill, “You can’t do that,” was the quickest way to watch him prove you wrong. Stubborn in the best way, he met every challenge head-on with grit, humor, and a quiet confidence.
Above all else, Bill was selfless. He put his friends and family before himself without hesitation. He showed up, he lent a hand, and he gave his time freely. That’s how he loved people — by being there, by helping, by doing.
Those who knew Bill will remember his work ethic, his strength, his humor, and the way he could make something out of nothing. His presence was larger than life, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who were lucky enough to know him.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Diane Meyer; sons, Billy (Nicole), Ian (Nicole), Jake (Megan) and Evan (Katte); grandson, Mason; siblings, Betty Voll, Bobby Eichorn, Jimmy Eichorn and Eleanor Burkett; stepdaughter, Melissa Lockard (Josh) and their children, Sage and Dylan; stepson, Rod Meyer (Kristina Kociuba) and son, Roddy and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, John Eichorn, Jean Sullivan and Ron Eichorn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, 5 PM to 7 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
