On August 29, 2016, of Haddon Twp., NJ. Age 64 years.

Beloved husband of 42 years to Anne E. Townsend (nee Johnstone). Dear father of William E. Townsend, Karen (Ky) Maria and Katherine (Charles) Schmidt. Loving Pop of Sloane, Gwen and Charlotte. Devoted son of Eileen M. and the late Richard E. Townsend. Brother of Mary (Damion) Mylet, Susan (Jerry) DuBois and the late Richard E. Jr. (Helen). He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bill was a 1970 graduate of Haddon Twp. High School and earned a BSN degree from the University of Delaware. He was an Account Manager of CSC, a member of Teamster Union #676, Collingswood, NJ and an ER Nurse at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden, NJ. Bill's loves and passions included being a coach, umpire and referee for various sports in Collingswood and Mt. Laurel and a very active member of the St. John's Men's Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday Evening 6 to 8:30 PM and Thursday 9 to 10 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:30 AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Interment private.
