Bill passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  Age 85 years.

Loving husband of 45 years to Francie L. Pagell (nee Youngblood).  Dear father of Mark (Megan McGurk) Pagell, Deborah Pagell and stepfather to Leif Fifer.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Bill's life on Thursday, March 12, 2026.  Visitation will be held from 2 PM to 3 PM and memorial service will follow at 3 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108.  Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bill's memory to The Carter Center (https://www.cartercenter.org/donate/index.html), Algonquin Park via Ontario Parks (https://www.ontarioparks.ca/donate), Tom Brown's Tracker School (https://www.gofundme.com/f/donate-to-keep-tracker-primitive-camp-alive) or any other environmental group, in his name.
