Passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 82.  He was raised in Williamstown, NJ.  After graduating from Glassboro State College, he taught at Tatem Elementary School in Collingswood for 32 years.  He lived in Collingswood for 6 years and then for 35 years in Moorestown.  He spent the past 18 years in Cherry Hill.

Nick enjoyed going to the Mummers Parade for many years and eventually became a member of Avalon String Band where he headed up the costume department.  He also served as vice president and Chairman of the Board.

Football was also one of Nick's hobbies.  He had season tickets to the Vet for 16 years and was at the game supporting the Eagles no matter what the weather was like.

Nick also loved dogs and has owned 17 of them over the years.  He always had some kind of hound dog.  His most recent hounds have been greyhounds.  For five years he actually owned five greyhounds at one time.  As he liked to say, three of them were ours and two of them were fosters who decided that they didn't want to go anywhere.  He has volunteered for the National Greyhound Adoption Program for many years.

Traveling was also one of Nick's pastimes.  He managed to visit all of the states in our country except four.

Nick is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy," his brother, Vince (Lorraine), his sister, Marianne and many nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his greyhounds, Gilda and Lena.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, October 9, 6 PM to 8 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, October 10, 11 AM at Holy Eucharist Church, 344 Kresson Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.  Interment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to National Greyhound Adoption Program, 10901 Dutton Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154 or to any animal shelter.
